SNAP 2020 Exam - Check Dates, Registration, Syllabus, Pattern, Preparation, Result

SNAP National Aptitude (online) Test or SNAP is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes offered by its participating institutes. SNAP exam is conducted in the month of December at multiple exam centres in over 90 cities across India. SNAP 2020 will be conducted in the same month, notification for which will be released in August. SNAP registration fee is Rs 1750 and the forms will be available in online mode only. The mode of examination is online and the question paper will have to solve questions from English, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Skills. SNAP 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must have completed Bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD candidates) or equivalent from recognized university or institute
  • Final year students are also eligible to apply for SNAP, but their admission will remain provisional until submission of the passing certificate 
  • International student or those who have graduated from an international university will be required to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

SNAP Exam Pattern 2020

SNAP exam pattern witnessed a major change in 2019. The general awareness section was scrapped and the marking scheme was altered. According to the latest SNAP exam pattern the question paper will have three section: General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. There will be about 110 questions in MCQ and non-MCQ format (type in the answer). The MCQs are called Normal Questions and non-MCQs are called Special Questions. SNAP Marking Scheme

  • The QA, DI-DS section of the SNAP question paper will have 5 Special Questions carrying 2 marks each. For normal questions in this section, 1 mark will be rewarded for right answer
  • In the VARC and A-LR questions, 1.5 marks will be awarded for each right answer
  • For each wrong answer, 25% marks will be deducted for Normal Questions and for Special Questions also

SNAP Syllabus 2020

SNAP exam syllabus prescribed by SIU includes, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency.

The Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability sections are clubbed together into one section – General English. Similarly, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency are clubbed together as Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency.

SNAP Registration 2020

SNAP 2020 registrations will begin in the second week of August. The candidates will be required to register on the official website of SNAP and fill an online application form to be able to appear in the entrance test. The requisite SNAP application fee is also to be paid online through internet banking or credit/debit cards or offline through demand draft. Given below are the steps of SNAP registration cum application process.

  • Open the SNAP 2020 website in a new window
  • Click on Apply Now and register as New User
  • Enter name, phone number, email ID and other details
  • An OTP will be sent to your mobile number for email verification
  • Enter OTP and verify your e-mail ID
  • Make payment of application fees
  • Move to SNAP application form
  • Enter relevant details in the form
  • Select desired PG courses and institutes
  • Make fee payment for the course
  • Click on save/submit button to complete the process

SNAP Admit Card 2020

Admit cards of SNAP exam will be issued online on the official website in the first week of December. The candidates can download their SNAP admit cards by using their login ID and password till the exam day. Given below are the steps to download SNAP 2020 admit card:

  • Open the official website of SNAP in a new window
  • Click on the ‘Admit card’ tab on the homepage
  • Enter your email ID and password
  • SNAP admit card 2020 will appear on the screen
  • Download it and take a printout

SNAP 2020 Result

SNAP result 2020 will be declared in the second week of January on the official website. The candidates would be able to download their scorecards by using their login ID and password. SNAP 2020 result cum score card will contain each candidate’s sectional and overall scores as well as shortlist status. Here’s how to download SNAP 2020 result:

  • Open the  SNAP website in a new window
  • Click on the tab ‘SNAP 2020 score card’
  • Enter your ID and password
  • The scorecard will appear on screen
  • Download it and take a print out

SNAP Selection Process

After the declaration of SNAP 2020 result, the participating institutes will begin the admission process. The admission process will include Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability Test.

Minimum cut off will be fixed by the institutes individually for shortlisting of candidates for GE/PI/WAT. Those who meet the SNAP cut off will be invited to participate in GE/PI/WAT. The final selection is based on each candidate’s academic record and performance in SNAP, GE/PI/WAT.
